    Calling all artists, superhero lovers, or graphic novel enthusiasts. During this workshop you will be putting your storytelling skills and artistic skills (either digital or drawing) to use as you create a story for the ages. Read graphic novels and create your own throughout this weeklong workshop that explores the boundary between art and writing.

    For girls and boys entering grades 3-6
    Make cool science projects that mom won't let you do at home! Chemistry rockets, exploding Mentos, elephant toothpaste, egg in a bottle, and smoke bomb launchers. Experiment with magnets, electricity, air pressure, eggs, and sound. Get ready to get messy and have fun!

    For girls and boys entering grades 1-4
    Will you create a space fit for fairies and unicorns to call home?  A hideout for your favorite action figures? – the choice is up to you! Each camper will be designing, building and decorating their very own wooden dollhouse to take home at the end of the week.   Campers will learn about blueprints, architectural planning and spend each day customizing both the exterior and the interior of their dollhouse. We will weave carpets, create custom furniture, decorate the houses with fabric accents and more. DIY Dollhouse Camp is a ton of fun for everyone!

  • Farm Spa Creations

    For girls and boys entering grades 2-4
    Discover the science of mixing, melting, dissolving, and decorating your very own spa creations. Students will learn to follow a recipe, design a label, and package their own bath bombs, play dough soap, and explore the Hutchison farm for ingredients and inspiration.

    For girls and boys entering grades 4-8
    Great cooks know how to make dough–from pastry to pastas, dough is a building block of cooking. It is a fun and delicious thing to cook, and it is a simple skill that leads to immeasurable creativity in the kitchen. Campers will spend each day learning the basics of baking, from precise measurement to how to know when something’s done, and we will focus each day on a different type of dough: play dough, pie dough, pizza dough, cookie dough, and pasta dough.

    Kids tend to engage more with STEM when they are connected to a story, so each day of camp will be connected to a story. From the stories, we will have a problem that campers will use the engineering design process to come up with a solution. (How to protect Humpty Dumpty, How to escape Treasure Island with the most treasure, etc)

  • Make Em' Laugh: You Are Funny!

    For girls and boys entering grades 2-5
    Start clowning around with us! Clowning is a high art, and at the root of all comedy and tragedy! Playfully explore physical and verbal comedy using contemporary children’s stories or well-loved comedy sketches. Whether you want to be sad, happy, bumbling, or pompous, there is a role for you. This is more fun than should be legal!  Campers will show off in an antic showcase on June 3.

    For students in elementary through high school
    Students will learn fundamentals of drumming as well as rudiments, proper technique. Students will also learn group beats and play as a full group while preparing for the upcoming performance season.

  • Wonderland Ballet

    For girls and boys entering grades 2-5
    Stumble down the rabbit hole to Wonderland and discover your love for dance. Campers will experience the story of "Alice in Wonderland" and see it brought to life through dance, costumes, and crafts. Camp will conclude with a performance at Memphis Botanic Garden alongside "Alice's Adventures at the Garden".
