Girls Jazz Ensemble
for girls in grades 7-12
The Memphis Jazz Workshop’s instrumental music curriculum is designed to introduce, teach and inspire students beyond the limits of the standard school music curriculum. There is strong emphasis placed in the following areas: private and group instruction, sectional and ensemble rehearsals involving all instruments. Instruction in music theory, jazz theory, developing improvisational techniques and basic composition can be made available to interested students. All levels of instruction is based on the students interest and ability. The Memphis Jazz Workshop strives to provide an opportunity for the specific creative needs of all students.
