    We offer a variety of enrichment classes, workshops, private music lessons, and clinics year-round catering to a broad variety of interests for girls and boys entering grades PK3-12. 


Monday Class Offerings

  • Soccer Clinic

    For girls in grades K-4
    Date/Time: Monday and Wednesdays, April 22, 24, 29, and May 1 from 3:30-4:15 PM on Mondays and 2:30-3:15 PM on Wednesdays

    Hutchison offers a sports clinic program for Hutchison girls to provide our girls with opportunities to explore athletics. The main goal is to promote growth and enhance skill development. Because of our commitment to fostering growth throughout the program, girls are invited to participate regardless of skill level or experience.
  • ACT Prep

    For girls and boys in grades 10-12; 10th-grade students MUST have completed Algebra II.

    This class takes a deep dive into what it takes to succeed on the ACT. Participants will examine the tendencies of the ACT and learn general and content-specific strategies. Students will also gain valuable experience by working through problems from actual ACT tests.
  • Floristry For Kids

    For girls in grades K-1

    Learn the foundations of flower arranging and care from seedling to bouquet. Emily Cantrell shares her tips and tricks for creating and styling seasonal blooms and greenery. Reconnect with nature and the joys of the garden at Hutchison’s Farm.

    For girls in grades 3-4
    Date/Time: Mondays and Fridays, March 4-April 27 (no practice 3/8, 3/11, 3/15, 3/29, 4/1) from 3:30-4:30 PM

  • Hutchison Swim Team - CFE

    For Hutchison girls in grades 3-5
    Date/Time:
    Practices
    Mondays and Wednesdays January 8 - February 29 (no practice 1/15, 2/19) from 5:30-6:30 at the Nuber YMCA
    Meets: Thursday, January 25 and February 29 
    Coaches: Cheryl Parker and Katie Sentilles (MS and US Swim Coaches)

    *-Swimmers will need to purchase swimsuits from the options sent by the coaches. Once purchased please deliver to the CFE office in the Abston Early Childhood building by December 11th so that we can have the Hutchison logo added before the first practice. 

    Swimmers will practice twice weekly at the Ric Nuber YMCA and participate in two swim meets. Makeup days will be on Thursdays as needed. Swimmers must be “deep water safe” and be able to get across one length of the pool in any way. They will play fun games, and learn the four competitive swim team strokes, practice relays, starts, and turns!
  • Kidding Around Yoga

    For girls in PK and JK

    Come have a blast practicing movement and mindfulness in this yoga class designed to teach children tools for emotion regulation, stretching their bodies, and so much more. We will enjoy music, games, crafts, and other activities to promote wellness throughout their childhood.

    Private lessons for 30 or 45 minutes in piano, violin, viola, voice, or harp are offered. All skill levels.

    *You must have access to the instrument you are taking lessons for in order to practice outside of your lesson. 

    Students who are currently taking lessons have first priority for the spring semester.

  • Socktastic Stories!

    For girls in grades 2-4
    Date/Time: Mondays, January 22-April 15 (no classes on 2/5, 2/19, 3/11. 4/1) from 3:15-4:15 PM
    Instructor: Julia Hinson

    Students will turn everyday socks into colorful characters with their own personalities. Through crafting, storytelling, and puppetry, they'll bring their sock puppets to life. Campers will collaborate to create a puppet show that's both entertaining and a testament to their imaginative skills. It's a fun and hands-on way to explore the world of puppetry and storytelling.
  • Study Session Mondays

    For girls in grades 5-8
    Date/Time: Mondays, January 8-April 15 (no classes on 1/15, 2/12, 2/19, 3/11. 4/1) from 3:30-4:30 pm

    These sessions are designed to empower students with effective planning and prioritizing strategies, this interactive session equips them with the essential skills of calendaring, planning, prioritizing, and initiating assignments independently. Through a combination of brief, targeted discussions and periodic session check-ins, students learn how to manage their time and work independently on homework. Throughout the sessions, students will receive encouragement and personalized support as they begin creating strong study habits. Whether it's completing homework, working on a project, or studying for a test, having one study session at the beginning of the week will help your student learn how to plan and use their study time. Join us on this exciting journey towards academic success!

    Hutchison's Chess Club is a space where girls of all skill levels and backgrounds can come together to learn the game. Students will explore every aspect of chess from the movement of pieces on the board to the strategies to bring an opponent to check-mate. We'll build skill, confidence, and sportsmanship as we learn and compete. Most importantly, we'll have fun playing a game that will stay with them forever.

Quiz Bowl is a team competition, and this session is limited to two teams of girls.

    Spend time with Mrs. Stover and Ms. Wesson expanding your computer science skills. Girls will gain more experience coding with unplugged and plugged activities. The activities will promote an understanding of important universal coding concepts that can be applied to different applications. This class will allow girls to tinker with Tinkercad developing 3-D print designs and programming skills will be taught through Code.org. Girls can 3-D print bag tags, game pieces, and more. Join the fun of computer science!
